FAQs

  • We are based in the Milwaukee area, but are very willing to travel to wherever your big day or special event happens to be! Travel costs are applied to all appointments in accordance with IRS standards.

  • Initial deposits are non-refundable. If, for any reason, the date of your event is canceled, your deposit would be forfeited. Additional services can be added at any time up until the confirmed date, pending time allotted and artist availability.

  • Please arrive with clean skin. Applying moisturizer ahead of time is no big deal, but avoid using any other skincare products, as we will provide adequate skin prep prior to your application. Any waxing or skin services should be done at least 5 days prior to your event. Brow maintenance, dermaplaning, and regular facials leading up to your event are always encouraged to ensure even coverage. Wearing a button up or zip-up top is also preferred, to avoid smudging makeup during removal.

  • Depending on your desired look, budget 60-90 minutes for a general makeup application.

  • LITERALLY ANY EVENT! We do makeup for weddings, boudoir photoshoots, engagement photos, rehearsal dinners, concerts, music festivals, cosplay, you name it!

  • Nope! We bring a large tent to ensure your home is left as clean as it was when we arrived!

  • We’ll be in and out within 30 minutes max. Most appointments take about 20 minutes.

  • This depends on factors like prep and post-care, skin condition, skincare routines, and lifestyle. Most spray tans last at least 1 week, with some last for 10+ days. Follow our pre- and post-tan instructions for the best results!

  • Whatever you're comfortable in! Most clients spray completely naked, but a bathing suit or bra/underwear is also fine. Just be sure to remove all jewelry and avoid tight clothing afterward.

  • No - we custom blend your tanning solution based on your natural skin tone. The customization sets us apart. Each client receives a color consultation and custom blend at their initial appointment. Any adjustments can be made over time until we achieve your perfect color.

  • No! We clean off your nails and blend the solution around your nail beds. We also provide a hairnet to ensure no color seeps into your hairline.

  • We will provide you with all of the information you need to ensure a perfect spray tan prior to your appointment covering all of the necessary pre and post-tan tips!

  • We cannot guarantee that your tan will not wear or transfer due to varying skin types and lifestyles, however, the solutions we use are professional grade, and are designed to be water and sweat resistant.

  • A makeup lesson is honestly, whatever you want it to be. We will work with you to determine your goals and customize a curriculum accordingly. If you are a makeup pro, and want to learn advanced techniques or if you are brand new to the makeup game, and simply want to learn “how to do your makeup” - we’ve got you covered.

  • We offer both virtual and on-site makeup lessons. We can chat virtually via a web-cam meeting or we will travel to your space and set up there! Whatever you prefer.

  • Of course! Makeup education can be provided on a 1:1 basis, as a small group, or as a full-blown Hot Pursuit Party!  Pricing is determined per individual participant.

  • A Hot Pursuit Party is an exclusive event designed for you and a group of your best pals. We will travel to your event location and provide makeup instructions for the group in a “masterclass” setting. One individual will act as our “model” for the evening, and we will walk you through the process of a professional makeup application step by step, with plenty of time for questions and individual curiosity exploration. Once the application has concluded, we will guide the group through an optional In Hot Pursuit discussion, where the meaning behind the brand is expanded upon. Topics like: goal setting, manifestation, individuality, and self confidence will be covered. Participants will leave with a skincare product / makeup sample gift bag & Pretty Jacked Party Favors!

FAQs

  • YES! We always recommend doing at least one makeup trial prior to your wedding day. This assures confidence in both you and your makeup artist, and is a great opportunity to get to know each other a bit before the big day. Any members of your party are welcome to schedule trials if they’d like as well.

  • Most of the time, yes. We have great partners in the industry and work together often to accommodate for more than 5 applications on a given day. Additional artists fees will apply, and support is subject to artist availability. However, with enough notice - we can make anything happen!

  • We typically budget 60 minutes for any members of your bridal party who are getting their makeup done, and 90 minutes for the bride!

  • Bridal inquiries are submitted via email and reviewed. If availability exists, we will reach out to confirm initial details, discuss service options, and collect an initial deposit of $250. If desired, we will schedule your bridal trial as well. Then about one month prior to your big day, we will reach back out to finalize logistics and provide a Day-Of Timeline. Any questions or concerns can be addressed throughout the partnership via email or text - we are HERE FOR YOU!

  • We use professional grade, waterproof products and application techniques to ensure a lasting look. With proper skin preparation, your look will remain flawless for the entire duration of your event - even through hugs, tears, or dancing!
